A goods train derailed in Peddapalli district, between Raghavapuram and Ramagundam, late last night around 10 p.m. The train, consisting of 44 wagons, was transporting iron ore. Of the 44 wagons, 11 derailed, causing a significant disruption to railway operations in the region. As a result of the derailment, approximately 37 trains were completely cancelled. In addition, several other trains have been either partially cancelled, diverted, rescheduled or regulated, as confirmed by the South Central Railway PRO. Efforts are underway to clear the tracks and restore normalcy, but the incident has caused major delays for passengers and goods transportation.
