Twenty coal-loaded wagons of a freight train derailed near Vrindavan Road station in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, around 8 PM on Wednesday, September 18, disrupting train traffic on the Agra-Delhi route. According to the Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of the National Capital Region (NCR) railway zone, the derailment blocked three rail lines, bringing train movement to a halt. Efforts are underway to clear the tracks and restore normal services as soon as possible.
