In a tragic incident in Andhra Pradesh’s Eluru, one person was killed and six others were injured after a sack of handmade firecrackers, known as “onion bombs,” accidentally exploded on Thursday. The explosion occurred on East Street when the scooter carrying the firecrackers, a Honda Activa, struck a pothole, causing the sack to shift and detonate. Sudhakar, who was seated at the back, suffered fatal burns and died at the scene. The injured, identified as Tabelu Sai, Suvara Shashi, K Srinivasa Rao, SK Khadar, Suresh, and Satish, were rushed to Eluru Government Hospital by local police. Authorities are investigating the incident and have urged caution with the transportation of such materials, especially during the festive season.
