The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) announced a 24-hour water shutdown on June 27 and 28 in certain city areas for urgent maintenance and repair work. The supply will be halted from 12 am on Thursday and continue until 12 am on Friday. The TMC said urgent repair and maintenance work will be conducted on the Barvi gravity channel from Katai Naka to Sheel Taki. As a result, water supply in Mumbra, Diva, Kalwa, Majivada-Manpada, and parts of Wagle within the TMC jurisdiction will be suspended from 12 am for a total of 24 hours.
