In a major infrastructure development push, the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the Thane Integral Ring Metro Railway Project corridor in Maharashtra on Friday, August 16. With an estimated cost of INR 12,200 crore, the project is expected to be operational by 2029. PM Modi announced the news on X (formerly Twitter), stating "We constantly strive to provide modern infrastructure to Maharashtra. Today the Union Cabinet has approved the Thane Integral Ring Metro Rail Project.
