Tamil Nadu: Youth Rolls Ganja Inside Chennai Metro, Arrested After Photo Goes Viral

Teynampet police arrested Bhuvanesh, 24, of Tondiarpet on Saturday after a photo of him rolling a ganja cigarette aboard a metro train went viral. The state police's social media wing identified the image, prompting an investigation led by Teynampet Inspector Senthil Murugan. CCTV footage revealed that Bhuvanesh was traveling from Tondiarpet to Teynampet, where he worked at a private firm. The photo showed him emptying a cigarette and stuffing it with dry ganja leaves. Further inquiries uncovered his involvement in an attempted murder case reported at Kasimedu police station. Bhuvanesh was arrested at DMS metro station and questioned about his ganja source.
