On Saturday evening, two tigresses were discovered dead close to each other along the Avalanche Dam surplus water channel in Kundha Taluk in the Nilgiris area in Tamil Nadu. One of the corpses was discovered floating on a river that led to the Emerald Dam, while the second one was discovered in a slush 10 metres away, according to sources at the forest department. Initial research suggested that the adult tigresses, who were between the ages of four and five, may have passed away two days ago. The absence of visible wounds revealed that the animals had not perished in a territorial struggle. To determine if the tigers' deaths were caused by poisoning, forest personnel are conducting searches in the surrounding regions. They are not melanistic tigers, according to officials. Another Cheetah Dies in Kuno: Death of Underweight Cheetah Tejas in Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park Raises Concerns Over Ambitious Translocation Project.
