In an unfortunate incident that took place in Tamil Nadu, two tiger cubs were found dead in the Segur range forest near Chinna Coonoor village, about 13 km from Ooty. As per a report in PTI, nine tigers, including five cubs, have died in this area in the past two months. Reportedly, the Nilgiri forests have the highest tiger population density. Speaking about the tiger cubs' death, Vijay, the state convenor for the United Conservation Movement, said that he suspects the cubs could have died due to starvation, with no adult tiger in sight.
