Two foreign tourists, along with a youth from Mumbai, were found taking photographs of the Taj Mahal from a restricted area near the Yamuna riverbank. The tourists had set up a tripod and captured pictures of the iconic monument, violating security regulations. Upon receiving information from a local guide, the police arrived at the scene and questioned the tourists. When the group failed to provide satisfactory answers, the police detained them. Both foreign tourists and the Mumbai youth were taken into custody for further questioning. The tourists' identities and camera equipment were confiscated for verification. As per security protocols, the area along the Yamuna River near the Taj Mahal is strictly off-limits due to safety concerns. However, the group bypassed these restrictions and managed to take photos of the monument from this prohibited zone. The incident came to light after a video from the Mehtab Bagh Taj Viewpoint, which overlooks the Yamuna River, went viral on October 1. The matter has been reported to ASI (Archaeological Survey of India) officials, who are conducting an investigation.
