Surjya Narayan Patro, the former speaker of Odisha Assembly and MLA for the Biju Janata Dal (BJP), passed away on Saturday at the age of 75. The Digapahandi legislator's health reportedly deteriorated on Saturday (September 2) afternoon, and he was sent to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.
