In a startling incident, passengers aboard the Vasco-da-Gama Weekly Express from Jharkhand to Goa were alarmed to find a live snake in an AC 2-tier coach. The snake was spotted slithering near the curtains of a lower berth, causing panic among the travellers. Ankit Kumar Sinha, whose parents were in the affected coach (A2 31, 33), took to social media platform X to report the incident and called for urgent intervention from Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. Videos shared by Sinha and other passengers show the snake moving around the curtains. Meanwhile, the Railway Seva team responded to the tweet. ''Please share your PNR/UTS number and mobile no. preferably via DM to enable us to take immediate action.
