Mumbai's overall Air Quality Index (AQI) has begun to fluctuate with rising temperatures, and it has slid into the 244 category on the System of Air Quality Forecast and Research (SAFAR) dashboard. Multiple locations in the suburbs also have poor AQI. Following the departure of the monsoon on October 10, the city has seen an increase in heat for a week, with average daily maximum temperatures ranging from 32 to 34 degrees.
