Seven people have been rescued from Sikkim's Singtam area after a flash flood hit the region triggered by a cloudburst. One of the NDRF teams has been deployed in Gangtok, while two additional teams have been dispatched to the surrounding areas experiencing flood-like conditions. A sudden cloudburst above Lhonak Lake in North Sikkim led to a flash flood in the Teesta River basin, aggravated by water discharge from a nearby dam.
