In view of Vishwa Hindu Parishad's (VHP) call for a Yatra on Monday, the state authorities of Haryana has beefed up security in the Nuh region. Although the Braj Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra was refused permission by the Nuh district government on Monday, the VHP insisted that it would still go ahead. When the yatra was attacked by a mob last month, communal clashes broke out in Nuh and its surrounding districts, resulting in the deaths of six persons. In light of this, officials issued prohibitory measures throughout the district on August 28 and ordered the closure of educational institutions and banks.
