The West Bengal Medical Council (WBMC) has revoked the medical registration of Sandip Ghosh, former principal of Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, following his arrest by the CBI. Ghosh is implicated in the rape and murder of a trainee doctor on August 9 and faces allegations of financial irregularities. His name has been removed from the list of Registered Medical Practitioners, according to an official statement. The WBMC cancelled his license under provisions of the Bengal Medical Act, 1914.
