The High Court refused to quash the FIR lodged under Section 295-A IPC against the man. The High Court stated that sacrilege is a heinous offence "irrespective of any religion". The accused, identified as Sanjay Rai, allegedly claimed that he was the incarnation of Guru Nanak Dev.
