The Delhi High Court recently said that the right to marry a person of one's choice is indelible and protected under the Indian Constitution. The court also said that the right to marry cannot be diluted. The high court bench of Justice Tushar Rao Gedela said the State is under a constitutional obligation to provide protection to its citizens. He also said that the constitutional courts are expected to further the constitutional rights of people.
