More than 50 faculty members and senior doctors of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata have submitted mass resignations. According to reports, senior doctors of RK Kar Hospital in West Bengal's Kolkata submitted mass resignation today, October 8. "We senior doctors of R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital are giving mass resignation as the government seems to be oblivious of the deteriorating condition of the doctors on hunger strike and if situation demands we will also go for individual resignation," the letter by doctors read. The development comes after the Kolkata Police denied permission for the scheduled mega rally of representatives from the medical fraternity.
