The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Thursday announced that the Indian envoy would not attend the the opening or closing ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022. The decision was taken after reports surfaced that China made a Galwan soldier the torchbearer of the event. The MEA accused China of politicising the Olympics.
