On Sunday, June 9, terrorists opened fire on the bus carrying pilgrims from Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Delhi, thereby causing it to veer off the road and fall into a deep gorge near the Teryath village of the Poni area of the Reasi district. A total of nine people died, and several others were injured in the incident.
