In a late-night operation on October 26-27, Narsingi Police, the Special Operations Team (SOT), and Excise officials raided a farmhouse in Janwada, under Mokila Police Station jurisdiction, following information about a suspected rave party. The raid revealed a gathering of 35 people, including 21 men and 14 women, where liquor and suspected drug use were uncovered. Authorities seized approximately 10.5 litres of unauthorized foreign liquor, along with 10 bottles of loose Indian liquor, which were being served without an Excise Department permit. Participants were subjected to drug testing on-site, during which a male attendee tested positive for cocaine. Following this, he was taken to the hospital for further blood tests, and a case was registered against him under Section 27 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The farmhouse, owned by Raj Pakala, who is reportedly the brother-in-law of Telangana Minister K.T. Rama Rao, was also thoroughly inspected. Pakala, who hosted the party, had not obtained an Excise license to serve liquor at the event, leading the State Excise Task Force to register a case against him under Sections 34(A) and 34(1) read with Section 9 of the Excise Act. The raid involved sniffer dogs to detect additional contraband, though no further drugs were found on-site. Rave Party in Parvati Valley, Kasol: Viral Video Shows Tourists and Travellers Smoking and Dancing to EDM at Devbhoomi Himachal Pradesh, Leaving the Internet Appalled.
