A passenger was left in utter shock after he spotted several rats in the pantry of Mumbai-Goa Express Train. The passenger recorded the video of the incident and shared it on Instagram. In the video, three-four rats can be seen licking from an uncovered pan, while the vegetables meant for cooking were left out in the open. As per the user's social media post , the passenger, who identified himself as a rail fan, thought of recording the engine coupling to the train while travelling with his family in 11099 LTT MAO express on October 15. While recording the pantry car, which lied in the middle, he found it infected with rodents. He then decided to raise the issue to the concerned authorities who dismissed the matter by saying nothing could be done about it. Vexed with the whole incident, he finally lodged a complaint on the Rail Madad app. Reacting to the video, the Railway Department of Mumbai Division forwarded the matter to IRCTC.
