A video that surfaced on social media platform X on Thursday, April 25, has raised hygiene concerns over a Domino’s outlet located on Clare Road in Byculla, Mumbai. The “disgusting” video allegedly shows a rat running inside a pizza oven at the said outlet. The video was circulated by a user named Aslam Merchant who also identifies as a social activist. In his post, he tagged the food department, urging the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to take action against the outlet for its alleged unhygienic conditions. The user claimed that the video was recorded on March 18, 2024, and showed rodent running on the pizza oven, thereby questioning the cleanliness standards of the outlet. As of now, the food department has not issued any statement regarding the incident. The Domino’s outlet in question has yet to respond to the allegations. Beware!
