Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal made the announcement on Tuesday, June 25 right after the second day of the Lok Sabha proceedings. The Congress Working Committee had unanimously adopted the resolution on Saturday, urging Rahul Gandhi to assume the role of Leader of the Opposition in the 18th Lok Sabha.
