A farmer from Punjab's Abohar recently claimed he was bitten by a snake after accidentally stepping on the reptile. The incident is said to have occurred when the farmer, Shankar Lal, a resident of Burj Muhar village, was spraying in his fields. A video of Shankar Lal recalling the snake bite incident has surfaced online today, July 10. Speaking in Punjabi, the farmer narrated how the snake bit him after he accidentally stepped on it. In the 28-second video clip, the farmer says the snake died after biting him. He also stated that he was rushed to a hospital, where he received treatment for the snake bite.
