A truck belonging to the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) fell upside down into a sinkhole that suddenly appeared at the City Post Office premises in Samadhan Chowk in Pune on Friday. The water tanker was parked for drainage cleaning work when a portion of the ground caved in, taking the water tanker and several two-wheelers with it. Fortunately, the water tanker driver managed to escape unharmed. The Pune Fire Brigade received a distress call around 4:15 PM, prompting the immediate arrival of 20 fire department personnel and police officials. Rescue operations are ongoing to retrieve the vehicles from the sinkhole.
