In a controversial enforcement action, the ARTO in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, seized a school bus full of children and staff on Monday, leaving them parked in the sun for two hours on Monday, September 23. The enforcement officer, Dilip Kumar Gupta, conducted checks on unfit school vehicles and discovered that the bus, belonging to a private school in Lohangpur, had a fitness certificate dating back to 2021 and an insurance certificate from 2019. After stopping the bus, Gupta transported it to the ARTO office but left it parked in the sun for over two hours, leaving the children and staff inside. The children remained in the bus for nearly two hours in the scorching sun, reportedly suffering from hunger and thirst. Despite pleas from parents and school staff, the officer only released the bus after receiving orders from the District Magistrate. Uttar Pradesh: Drunk Man Narrowly Escapes Truck Collision on Busy Road While Sitting on Chair in Pratapgarh, Police Respond After Video Goes Viral.
