In an unexpected wildlife encounter, a security guard at the Khadakwasla Dam in Pune found a rare pangolin inside a toilet during a routine break on November 9. The guard, unfamiliar with the creature, immediately contacted the RESQ Charitable Trust for help. A team from RESQ responded swiftly and rescued the pangolin, which was then taken for a medical check-up at Bavdhan’s wildlife treatment centre. After being declared healthy, the pangolin was released into a remote habitat, away from human settlements. RESQ CT shared a video of the rescue on Instagram, underscoring the need for awareness as wildlife increasingly ventures into human areas.
