Omicron Scare: West Bengal Govt Extends Existing COVID-19 Restrictions Up to January 15

The West Bengal government on Wednesday extrended the existing COVID-19 restrictions till January 15. Meanwhile, restrictions related to the movement of people and vehicles between 11 pm and 5 am will be relaxed for Christmas and New Year celebration during December 24 to January 1. According to the order, all shops, restaurats and bars may remain open as per normal operational hours, but late closing of hours will be allowed as per the extant rules during December 24, 2021 and January 2022.
