A married woman in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, was allegedly sexually harassed by a girl and boy on August 4. A video of the woman, identified as Anju, narrating her ordeal and making serious allegation went viral on August 6. Anju was waiting near Noida's Garden Galleria Mall with her husband and brother-in-law, when a boy and a girl allegedly asked her "What's your rate?" However, another video of her later surfaced in which she said that she had made "exaggerated" remarks. She said that it was a fight between two groups which has now resolved. She also said that she was satisfied with the police's response. The police also reacted to the viral video clarifying that they did not receive any complaint and that investigation was underway.
