Noida police have arrested Rahul Chaturvedi, a former Regional Manager at Wipro in Bangalore, where he earned a salary of INR 1.37 lakh. Chaturvedi is accused of creating profiles on matrimonial websites, targeting women around the age of 35. He befriended 17 women, luring them with false promises of marriage and then defrauding them. After receiving multiple complaints, the police launched an investigation and successfully apprehended him for his fraudulent activities. There were news reports of the accused being an IIM Bangalore graduate. However, IIM Bangalore representatives have categorically denied any association with this individual.
