A two-year-old video of Union Minister and BJP leader Nitin Gadkari promising no toll plaza within 60km on national highways is going viral again. In the video, Nitin Gadkari is heard saying that toll tax would not be levied at collection points that are located within 60km of one another. Gadkari also stated that the same would be implemented in the next three months. However, it has been two years since the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways made this remark while replying to a discussion in the Parliament in 2022. Netizens are now sharing the old video saying that one does not have to pay tolls at any toll booth within 60km of one's home. The video also shows Nitin Gadkari saying that people residing near the toll plazas would be given passes with the use of Aadhar cards. "Toll collection points that fall within 60 km of another toll booth will be closed in the next 3 months," Gadkari had said in 2022. NHAI Facing Financial Crises? Here’s What Nitin Gadkari Said.

We'll provide passes to locals having Aadhaar cards who reside near toll plazas.
