INDIA Bloc MPs criticised the BJP government after a video showed water leaking in the new Parliament building's lobby following heavy rainfall in Delhi. The Congress highlighted "urgent weather resilience" issues in the building, which was inaugurated in May last year. Congress MP Manickam Tagore shared the video on X, captioned, "Paper leakage outside, water leakage inside." He noted the water leakage in the Parliament lobby used by the President of India, stressing the need for a thorough inspection. Tagore moved an adjournment motion in the Lok Sabha, proposing the formation of a specialised committee of MPs to investigate the building. The committee would assess the leaks' causes, evaluate the design and materials, and recommend repairs. It would also establish a maintenance protocol and ensure transparency by publicly sharing its findings. Tagore urged members to support the initiative to uphold the Parliament's safety and integrity.┬аDelhi Rains: Wall of a Private School Collapses in Daryaganj Amid Heavy Rainfall, Damages Parked Vehicles (Watch Video).
