In response to calls for the cancellation of the NEET UG 2024 exam due to a paper leak, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has stated that "one isolated incident should not affect lakhs of students." Pradhan emphasised the importance of maintaining the integrity of the examination process while ensuring that the majority of students are not unfairly impacted by the actions of a few. Pradhan further said that the ministry has been in regular contact with the Bihar Police in regards to the alleged paper leak of NEET UG 2024. He also announced the formation of a high level committee which will look into the matter and will also look into the functioning of the National Testing Agency (NTA).
