Sharad Navratri celebrations have begun across the nation and will continue until October 11. This annual festival honours the nine avatars of Goddess Durga, or Goddess Shakti, and is observed in various ways by people throughout the country. In South India, the festival is highlighted by vibrant displays of dolls and figurines, showcasing the rich cultural traditions of the region. Keeping age-old traditions alive, Chennai resident Nandini Venkatesh has set up one of the city's largest Bommala Golu exhibitions. The exhibition, which marks its 14th year, features 7,000 idols arranged in 14 unique themes, all displayed in her home. Speaking to news agency ANI, Nandini Venkatesh, Curator of the Golu Exhibition, stated that a separate theme has been created for the Ram Lalla, marking Ayodhya's Pran Pratishtha ceremony. "We have created a separate theme for Lord Ram to celebrate our victory for Sanatan Dharma. As a deeply devotional person, I aim to inspire the youth to embrace the Bhakti Margam (path of devotion). Each year, I set up the Golu to attract and engage young people," she added.
