Heavy rainfall lashed several parts of Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and its surrounding areas, causing waterlogging and traffic disruptions in the two cities. Amid the heavy downpour, a video going viral on social media shows children jumping into waterlogged streets as several roads in Navi Mumbai turned into swimming pools and rivers. In the 15-second video clip, children are seen enjoying the weekend by jumping into a waterlogged street in Navi Mumbai's Sanpada area following incessant rainfall in the city. Earlier, officials said that Navi Mumbai received 83.38 mm of rainfall in five hours till 1:30 PM on Sunday, July 21, thereby causing water-logging in several areas in Vashi, Nerul and Sanpada.
