Just days after Delhi experienced record-breaking heat, Nagpur has now exceeded 50 degrees Celsius, reaching an unprecedented 56 degrees celsius on Thursday, according to reports. Two of the four automatic weather stations (AWS) set up by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) recorded these extreme temperatures. The Nagpur AWS at PDKV in Ramdaspeth recorded 56 degrees Celsius, while the AWS at the Regional Meteorological Centre in Sonegaon recorded 54 degrees Celsius. These temperatures in Maharashtra city surpass those recorded by the Mungeshwar AWS in North-West Delhi, which had reported high temperatures on Wednesday.
