A major accident was averted when smoke engulfed due to break binding in the Nagaon Express train that was travelling from Sibsagar in Assam to Chennai in Tamil Nadu. According to news agency ANI, the loco pilot of the train promptly halted the train after smoke engulfed the train. After this, passengers got off the train and ran to a safe place. Following this, railway authorities were alerted, who quickly attended to the situation and carried out necessary repairs. "The incident took place while the Nagon Express was passing through the Kavali area of Nellore district. Following repairs, the train resumed its journey," Railway PRO of Vijayawada said.
