Mumbai has been receiving short spells of rainfall after the Southwest monsoon made its onset in the city on Sunday, June 9. The Regional Meteorological Center in Mumbai has forecasted a cloudy sky with intermittent moderate to heavy spells of rain and thundershowers in the city and suburbs on Sunday, June 23. The RMC also said that the maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 32 degrees Celcius and 26 degrees Celcius respectively. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) recently said that India had received 20 per cent below-normal rainfall since the start of the monsoon period on June 1.
