The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for heavy rains in Mumbai until Friday, June 21. According to IMD forecasts, Mumbai is expected to experience cloudy weather conditions with the likelihood of moderate to heavy rainfall during the day. The maximum and minimum temperatures in the financial capital of India are anticipated to hover around 30 and 25 degrees Celsius, respectively. Mumbai witnessed an early onset of monsoon rains this year, followed by a period of reduced intensity. However, rainfall has intensified once again earlier this week, prompting the IMD to issue the alert. The department had previously forecasted above-normal rainfall for the year in its long-range prediction. The yellow alert advises residents and authorities to be cautious as heavy rains could lead to waterlogging, and traffic disruptions in low-lying areas of the city. Mumbai Weather Forecast: IMD Issues Yellow Alert for City, Thane and Raigad of Maharashtra for Next Two to Three Days.
