The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has cancelled the planned maintenance work on a pipeline in Andheri East. Originally scheduled for May 22, the operation involved connecting a 1500 mm diameter water channel with a new 1200 mm diameter channel (the Parle outlet) in the K East ward. The work was expected to take 16 hours and would have necessitated water cuts in parts of Goregaon, Jogeshwari, Andheri, and Vile Parle. However, due to technical reasons, the BMC has now announced that there will be no water cuts or disruptions in supply during these days.
