In a tragic incident, a 26-year-old woman died on Monday, April 29, after undergoing a C-Section performed under the flashlight of mobile phones at Mumbai's Sion Hospital. The procedure resulted in the delivery of a stillborn boy weighing approximately 4 kg. The deceased, Saheedunnissa Ansari, a resident of Bhandup, passed away a few hours later. The incident occurred during frequent power cuts in the city on Monday, which led to the doctors making the decision to perform the C-Section under mobile phone torchlight. Following the incident, Mumbai's civic body, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), formed a 10-member committee to investigate the matter. The committee includes doctors from the state-run JJ Hospital.
