Despite moderate showers increasing water levels in the seven lakes supplying Mumbai, the city will continue facing a 10% water cut. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had earlier announced that the water cut will remain until reservoir levels reach 40 to 45 percent. "We have not taken any decision to increase the supply cut. Currently, our catchment area has started receiving rainfall, and the water level has risen. We are observing the situation and will take further action," a senior official from the Civic Hydraulic Department stated.
