In a bid to enhance travel convenience, Western Railways has announced the launch of the Bandra Terminus - Madgaon Bi-Weekly Express, starting August 29. The inaugural run, Train No 09167, will depart from Borivali on August 29, 2024. This train aims to enhance convenience for passengers and address increasing travel demand. It will halt at Vasai Road, Bhiwandi Road, Panvel, Roha, Veer, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavli, Sindhudurg, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim, Karmalim, before reaching Madgaon. The train is equipped with 20 LHB coaches to ensure improved safety and comfort. Booking for Train No 09167 has opened today at 12 PM via PRS counters and the IRCTC website. The bi-weekly service will operate with departures from Madgaon every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:40 AM, arriving at Bandra Terminus at 11:40 PM, and from Bandra Terminus every Wednesday and Friday at 6:50 AM, reaching Madgaon at 10 PM.
