In yet another safety protocol disruption case, an alarm was triggered aboard a Jaipur-Mumbai flight after a passenger was allegedly caught smoking mid-air in the aircraft's toilet on Monday, May 27. The passenger, identified as Arjun Ram Thalore, a resident of Rajasthan, was subsequently arrested by the Sahar Police upon landing at Mumbai Airport. The accused allegedly lighted a cigarette while inside the aircraft's lavatory, triggering the plane's alarm system. As reported by the Mumbai Police, a case has been lodged under section 336 of the Indian Penal Code and section 25 of the Aircraft Act, which pertains to endangering life or personal safety and smoking in an aircraft, respectively.
