The Religious Trusts and Endowments Department of the Madhya Pradesh government on Wednesday took to social media and said that under Chief Minister Teerth Darshan Yojana, senior citizens will be able to travel to Ayodhya-Varanasi (Kashi), Rameshwaram, Tirupati, Vaishnodevi, Dwarka-Somnath. As per reports, the state government has relaunched the special pilgrimage scheme for senior citizens. The scheme was discontinued after BJP's defeat in the 2018 polls and due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan will flag off the special train, which will be leaving for on Tuesday. Reports also suggest that senior citizens aged 60 and above, who are not paying Income Tax, are eligible for this scheme.
