A food poisoning outbreak has been reported from Hyderabad's Banjara Hills, where a woman is said to have died, and 20 others have been hospitalised after they allegedly ate momos. According to reports, the food poisoning incident occurred last Friday at Nandi Nagar in Hyderabad's Banjara Hills area. It is learned that victims consumed momos from a local vendor, which led to severe food poisoning. The deceased woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, is said to be from Singadikunta. A journalist who shared the news on X (formerly Twitter) said that the incident came to light when multiple residents of Nandi Nagar complained of symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhoea and abdominal pain. Post this, they were rushed to nearby hospitals, where they are currently undergoing treatment. Acting on comlaints, the Banjara Hills police have registered a complaint and launched an investigation in connection with the incident. It is also reported that local authorities have also collected food samples from the vendor for testing.
