Today, August 20, the Supreme Court lambasted an advocate for not properly filing photos in his pleadings. The bench of Justices Surya Kant and Ujjal Bhuyan warned that one day, a strong order would be passed against such members of the Bar who share "misleading" photographs in their pleadings. Notably, the apex court observed after taking note of certain photos it found annexed to pleadings submitted in a land encroachment case. "Mobile se photo liya aur annexure mei laga diya (you took a photo from a mobile and simply attached in an annexure). One day I am going to pass an extremely harsh order against the members of the Bar. All misleading photos filed before this Court. This does not happen in High Courts," Justice Kant stated. He also hinted that advocates found guilty of such practices should have their licenses taken away. Supreme Court Raps West Bengal Government Over Kolkata Doctor’s Rape and Murder, Forms Panel to Mull over Safety of Medical Professionals.
