Two young boys, aged 6-7, narrowly avoided a building collapse in Meerut’s Sadar Bazaar on Friday, an incident captured on CCTV that has since gone viral. The boys were crossing a narrow lane when the outer section of a 100 to 150-year-old building, reportedly in a dilapidated state, collapsed just seconds after they passed. The children sensed the danger in time and ran to safety, escaping unscathed. No injuries were reported. The building, owned by a Jain community trust, had been flagged as hazardous by the Cantonment Board, which had issued multiple notices for its demolition. However, the structure collapsed on its own before any action was taken. #meerut #विजयादशमी #दशहरा pic.twitter.com/lvvI9jgKpm
