As the CM Eknath Shinde-led Maharashtra government conceded all demands of the Maratha community to facilitate their inclusion in the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category, Union Minister Narayan Rane has expressed disagreement on state government’s decision on the issue. In a recent tweet via his official handle on X, Rane wrote in Marathi, “I do not agree with the decision taken by the state government and the hope given regarding the reservation of the Maratha community. This has historical traditions of the Maratha community and encroachment on other backward communities may create dissatisfaction in the state. Tomorrow is Monday.
